Misleading Advertising
Master Builders has been advised of several examples where builders are advertising extra benefits to prospective home buyers which appear to be at greatly inflated values in dollar terms. Members are cautioned about the legal risks of misleading advertising and the dangers of bringing your company’s and our industry’s brand into disrepute.

Planning Reform
The Green Paper on Planning Reform is still out for public comment and is available here. The feedback received will be used to develop a White Paper which will be provided to Government for consideration. Submissions close 20 July. Members are encouraged to review and provide feedback to us.

Introduction of Bills
Members are advised three Bills (Strata Titles Amendment Bill 2018, Community Titles Bill 2018 and its Cognate Bill) have been introduced to Parliament. For further information, click here. Master Builders will monitor progression of the Bills in Parliament.
