Increase in Casual Loadings
The FWC last week increased casual loadings for retail employees finding the federal award provisions lacked logic. These are the same obligations the FWC approved in 2009 when making the federal modern retail award. The ACTU was quick to claim a win on this outcome but fails to appreciate this outcome undermines its calls that the FWAct and FWC are broken and needs fixing, the union way.

Net Zero Carbon Emissions
Cbus has announced a commitment to reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2030 from its $5 billion property holdings. Cbus has given its property fund managers until 2020 to provide road maps showing how they planned to achieve the target.
