  1. Draft IR Policy Failure

The Federal Labor Opposition has issued a draft IR Policy platform for the 2019 Federal election which wants to take industrial relations back to the 1970s. The centre piece is scrapping the ABCC with no replacement and allowing FWC to arbitrate on any matter. This will also allow FWC to impose industry wide wage deals outside National Wage Case decisions and more. In essence, Labor failed at introducing the Fair Work Act to deliver national workplaces to the union movement and are now wanting to correct that error in 2019. Back to the future is not a smart move!
